I am thinking of doing a up coming camping trip for a few nights at either Iosegun or Smoke lake campsite.
I understand that it is first come first serve but I am wondering how do we pay for the stay.
Does the $25 per night include GST. Do we pay by check if so who is the check made out too? Or do we pay by cash? Is the payment left clip to the camping post.
It has been awhile since I have camped in a Provincial campsite so I need to get re-educated on how the payment works.
    Thanks

      Hello Gary,
Payment and registration deposit stations are located at the campgrounds. Place your registration information, and payment (cash or cheque), into the envelope provided and drop it into the locked box. Another alternative, if you prefer, visit the town office during office hours, where other payment options are available, to register.

Is the Losegun campground normally full in mid-July? Want to come for a 4 day night starting on a Thursday night but since they are first come first serve figured it is worth an ask???

    • FC Matters June 29, 2018 at 10:38 am - Reply

      Hello Crystal,
We’re normally only completely full on long weekends. You should be fine, in mid-July.

We are looking to reserve 2 campsites at the RV campground for the weekend of July.6-8, but there has been no answer. Is there another way to contact to inquire about reservations?

    Hi Emily
Just double checking that Smoke Lake boat launch is repaired. I am planning on driving up early Sunday from Edmonton for a day of fishing and want to make sure that the launch is 100% repaired. Please confirm
    Thanks

    Hi Emily

I just want to confirm that Smoke lake boat launch is 100% repaired. I want to do a day of fishing on Sunday and will be coming from Edmonton. I don’t want to drive all that way and find the launch is not repaired.
    Please confirm
    Thanks

Is Iosegun lake safe for swimming?

    • Emily Cuthbertson July 30, 2018 at 11:07 am - Reply

Hi Wendy, We have confirmed with our Director of Parks and Recreation and yes, the Iosegun Lake is safe for swimming. Please ensure you do use the proper precautions when swimming (life jackets, flotation devices, etc.).

      Thank you

Thanks Emily. I did finally get your first email. I was hiking in the Hinton Area and the cell reception is not the greatest because of that I wanted to double check to make sure the boat launches for both Smoke and Iosegun was repaired. I did make it out on Sunday to Smoke and the launch was repaired. The new launch is a big improvement. It would be nice if the launch did extend a little further into the lake however compared to early this year and last year the new launch is great.
