Council Highlights – April 23, 2018

  • Council has awarded the engineering of the new Heli-pad to Field Lievers Architecture Ltd. They will be designing and overseeing the complete build of the heli-pad
  • The Multi-Use Facility has a new name – Town of Fox Creek / MD of Greenview Multi-plex! With its new name, we are even more eagerly awaiting the opening of this wonderful facility!
  • Public works staff will be starting to power sweep yards that have winter gravel on them from the winter snow removal project. If you would like the sand/gravel removed from your yard please call or come down to the Town Office to register your property.
  • West Fraser is hosting their annual Woodlands Open House on Tuesday, May 2, at Scouts Hall starting at 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm. This is to inform the public on their 2018-2019 programs and provide input into future activities, such as: road development, harvesting, reforestation, purchase wood, manual tending, vegetation management and mountain pine beetle.
  • Council has declared that May 20 – 26th as National Public Works Week. This calls attention to the importance of public works in our community. Stay posted for events during this week of acknowledgement.
  • Council would like to thank those who took the time to come to the Local Business meeting on April 17 and provide some comments and feedback to us, so we can plan our future.
