Council Highlights – June 13, 2018

  • Council has given first reading to the new Façade Improvement Grant Policy. This policy seeks to stimulate private sector investment for the revitalization of existing commercial and mixed-use building within the Fox Creek’s Downtown Revitalization Area.
  • Council has given first reading to the updated Business License Bylaw. This update will help to better assist the consumers.
  • Council has moved to commence a Summer Council Schedule. This will eliminate one meeting in the month of July and one meeting in the month of August. Summer meetins will be Monday, July 23 and Monday, August 20. Both meetings start at 6:30 pm.
  • Council has approved a rate of $2.00 for a transaction fee on the ATM Machine that will be located at the Multiplex.
  • The Fox Creek Minor Baseball Association has requested to host the Peewee “A” Provincials July 20-22, 2018. Council has given their support to the Association and will be waiving Community Hall fees, in support.
  • The Fox Creek Operators Group (FCOG) has reached out to Council asking if there is anything within the Community they could do a work bee on for their Day of Caring.
