The Town of Fox Creek is updating its Land Use Bylaw and creating a new Community Design Guidelines document to address future community challenges, aspirations, and change.

Land Use Bylaw 778-2016 Update

The Town of Fox Creek will be holding a public open house to review proposed amendments to Land Use Bylaw 778-2016. The Land Use Bylaw directs the town’s form and use, and thus the town is modernizing key regulations to account for community changes, suggestions, challenges, and aspirations. Dillon Consulting will be facilitating the Open House. Dillon Consulting has professional experience in municipal land development,
long-range policy planning, land use Bylaws, and public consultation.

Creating Community Design Guidelines

The goal of a Community Design Guidelines document is to demonstrate and provide consistent guidance on the use of sound urban design principles to create a comfortable, safe, and exciting pedestrian environment for citizens and visitors. For those who engage in local development projects, this evening workshop is an opportunity to address the critical challenges of implementing great urban design as well as to provide input before the drafting of the Guidelines document.
