THROUGH CONTINUED ADVOCACY, TOWN OF FOX CREEK SECURES PLANS FOR HIGHWAY SAFETY UPGRADES!
Town of Fox Creek Engages Minister of Transportation on Key Infrastructure Priorities
Fox Creek, AB – This month, members of Town Council and the Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) had the opportunity to meet in person with the Minister of Transportation and Economic Corridors to discuss critical Highway 43 Infrastructure priorities for the community. The meeting provided valuable insight and an opportunity to advocate for necessary improvements that will enhance road safety and accessibility in Fox Creek.
Key topics of discussion included:
• Intersection improvements at Kaybob Drive and Highway 43
• A request for a speed limit reduction on Highway 43 adjacent to town boundaries
• Concerns regarding highway maintenance services provided during the winter season
We are pleased to share that the Department of Transportation has committed to engaging an engineering consultant to begin detailed design work on intersection improvements on Highway 43.
The Town of Fox Creek appreciates Transportation and Economic Corridor’s willingness to collaborate with our community to address these concerns and prioritize the safety and accessibility of our residents. We believe these improvements will create safer access to Highway 43, help prevent collisions and enhance overall traffic flow for both residents and visitors.
We look forward to continued engagement as this project progresses and will provide updates as new developments emerge.
