Program Facilitator – Casual Part-time

An opportunity is provided to participate in delivering a broad range of family support services that will engage and educate families with children ages 0 – 6 year of age with a focus on Early Childhood Development, Parenting Education, and Family Support as set out by the Parent Link program. An opportunity is also provided to support other Community Resource Centre programs.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist with coordination of programs and presentations
  • Gain a thorough understanding and knowledge base of supports available to families
  • Work as a team, understand and utilize the Parent Link Framework for families
  • Partner with other community groups to strengthen the support network in the community
  • Document activities, maintain program plans and offer observations to program coordinator
  • Ensure a sufficient inventory of programming materials is available
  • Participate in Professional Development or Networking opportunities to assist with program growth
  • Assist and support all programs offered through the Community Resource Centre as needed
  • Adherence to all Town Policies and Procedures including strict confidentiality of program participants
  • Pre-scheduled evening and weekend hours are required for this position
  • Daily scheduled hours of position will vary but total can be up to 25 hours per week

 

Knowledge, Abilities and Skills:

  • Strong interpersonal relationship building and communication skills  (written and verbal)
  • Self-motivated, superb organizational ability, and knowledgeable of common computer applications
  • Understanding of child development, risk factors, and unique community needs
  • Ability to plan, develop, market and evaluate programs for children and their families
  • High School Diploma preferably complimented by Post-Secondary education in a related field
  • Must provide RCMP Criminal Record Check (incl. vulnerable sector) and a government Intervention Check
  • Possess a valid Class 5 Drivers Licence, as per Town of Fox Creek Policy
