Please be advised that the Town of Fox Creek has awarded the Highway Avenue Reconstruction contract to Knelson Sand and Gravel Ltd.
The scope of the work for this project includes the full road reconstruction of Highway Ave. from 3 St. East to Kaybob Drive. The work being done will consist of grading, driveway restoration, intersection illumination, installation of storm sewer, concrete sidewalks and curbs.
Construction will begin during the week of July 2, 2019 and should be completed by August 31, 2019. Approved road closures along Highway Ave. will begin at that time. Advance Road Closure signage will be erected at both ends of Highway Ave. Signed detour routes will be provided to direct motorists around the road closure where possible.
During the construction period, the Contractor is required to maintain reasonable access to businesses located along Highway Avenue. As required, personnel on-site will coordinate any driveway disruptions/ closures with property owners and companies to minimize the length of closure and to ensure alternate access and parking arrangements are made. You may experience some delays and inconveniences during this time, and we ask for your cooperation and patience. We also request that when driving or walking through and around the construction area that you follow and obey the construction traffic signage for your safety and for the protection of the workers.
