Canada Day Agenda

8:00 am – 10:00 am: Free Pancake Breakfast

  • Description: Start your Canada Day celebrations with a delicious and free pancake breakfast! Join us at the Community Hall for a morning of good food and great company. Enjoy fluffy pancakes with all the fixings, hot coffee, and juice. It’s a perfect way to fuel up for the day’s festivities.

10:30 am – 11:30 am: Parade

  • Description: Don’t miss the lively parade along 7th Avenue! Enjoy the colorful floats, marching bands, and community groups as they make their way down the street. It’s a great event for all ages, so bring your family and friends to enjoy the sights and sounds of this festive parade.
  • Route: Along 7th Avenue

11:30 am – 12:00 pm: Opening Ceremonies

  • Description: Join us in the Fieldhouse for the official opening ceremonies of Canada Day. The event will begin with a Land Acknowledgement, followed by a speech from the Mayor. Enjoy a special performance of Highland Dance to celebrate our cultural heritage.
  • Location: Fieldhouse

12:00 pm – 4:00 pm: Festivities

  • Description: The fun continues with a variety of activities and entertainment in the Multiplex and area. There’s something for everyone to enjoy!
    • Dunk Tank: Take your best shot at the Dunk Tank, sponsored by Minor Ball and Rival Trucking. It’s a fun way to cool off and support a great cause.
    • Glitter Tattoos: Get a sparkling glitter tattoo, sponsored by 3-Boys. Choose from a variety of designs and add some shimmer to your celebration.
    • Free Ice Cream: Cool down with a free ice cream, sponsored by Chinook Air. A sweet treat for a hot summer day!

  • Vendor Tables: Browse the vendor tables for unique items and local products. Support local businesses and find some great treasures.
  • Ice and Bites: Enjoy snacks and refreshments from Ice and Bites, which will be open throughout the festivities.
  • Bouncy Castles/Obstacle Courses: Let the kids burn off some energy with bouncy castles and obstacle courses. It’s a perfect way for them to have fun and stay active.
