TOWN OF FOX CREEK ENROLLED IN SECOND ALBERTA ADVANTAGE IMMIGRATION PROGRAM
The Town of Fox Creek is pleased to announce its enrollment in the Rural Entrepreneur Stream, a component of the Alberta Advantage Immigration Program. This marks the Town’s second successful engagement with the Alberta Advantage Immigration Program, following the positive outcomes achieved through the Rural Renewal Stream.
The Rural Entrepreneur Stream is designed to attract international entrepreneurs to rural Alberta communities, fostering economic growth and job creation. By participating in this program, the Town of Fox Creek aims to increase the attraction of international entrepreneurs to the region, further diversifying and strengthening our local economy. To qualify, new businesses must create at least one full-time job for Canadian Citizens or Permanent Residents (not including relatives), with a minimum investment of $100,000 from the candidate’s own equity, and the business must have a minimum net worth of $300,000.
The Town of Fox Creek is thrilled to be part of the Rural Entrepreneur Stream. This initiative aligns perfectly with ongoing efforts to enhance the community’s economic landscape and improve the quality of life for residents. Following the significant success seen with the Rural Renewal Stream, the Town is confident that this new program will bring even more opportunities to Fox Creek.
The Town of Fox Creek is currently developing an enhanced economic development plan that will support this initiative as well as many other business initiatives. This plan targets supporting the current business environment and understanding its needs for successfully established business support and growth. It aims to create an environment where new businesses would like to start their endeavors in our beloved community.
