• Sgt. Steven Thackeray presented the enhanced policing report for the month of January, highlighting the number of calls the detachment received. One number that stands out is the 77 Provincial traffic violations that were handed out.
  • One noteworthy RCMP Detachment community highlight is the reading program that has started with the Fox Creek School, Cst. Tangjerd has spent a number of hours reading to students in various primary grades! The detachment is making more of a presence in the community, whether it be town events, school programs and interacting with town residents. It is great to see the detachment members taking time out of their busy schedules to connect with everyone in the community!
  • The Primary Care Network presented to Council in regards to the Electronic Medical Records system. This system will enhance the medical care that is being received here in Fox Creek and patients will have more coordinated care by all doctors and members of the patients care team. This system allows doctors and the medical teams to access any test results, and see any past results that were received. The preventative care will also greatly increase as the doctors will have notes pop up stating if the patient requires any follow-up appointments or procedures.
  • Council adopted a new Fox Creek Greenview Multiplex logo which will be revealed at the Grand Opening on Saturday, February 23.

  • In 2018, the Town received $3 Million for the reconstruction of Highway Avenue from the Province. Administration presented various options for the improvement of Highway Avenue to Council for review. Council will be making their final decision in the coming weeks.
  • Mayor Hailes has been in discussions along with CAO Roy Dell with a company who is extremely interested in the Geothermal potential Fox Creek has and want to make Fox Creek the central hub for their venture.
