Shoemaker, Viney and Frieson presented the 2018 audit to Council, the auditors have issued a clean audit.
Council has received permission from the Minister of Municipal Affairs to conduct a census that includes the portion of our Shadow Population that meet the set out requirements. Council has appointed a Census Coordinator to move forward with the completion of what is required. More information regarding the census will be released shortly – keep your eyes peeled!
Council has set three priorities for the Fox Creek RCMP to focus on for 2019/2020:
- Visibility and investment in preventative policing
- Property and drug crime
- Vehicle offences – on and off road
Council has motioned to submit a statement of concern regarding Murphy Oil Company Ltd. proposed drilling under the town.
Council has directed administration to schedule an Open House for the community in early September.
