Tax Installment Pre-Authorized Payment Plan
OVERVIEW:
- an optional plan allowing you to pay your taxes in 12 monthly instalments instead of a single yearly payment
- first five monthly payments (January to May) will be estimated based on your previous year’s taxes
- once Tax Notices are issued, any adjustments required as a result of the annual levy will be spread out over the last seven payments of the year
- this will keep taxes current and paid in full by December 31 of each year
- no penalties will be applied while the Pre-Authorized Payment agreement is active and adhered to
- no charge for this service
- can cancel at any time with written notice
ELIGIBILITY:
- prior years taxes including all charges, penalties and/or any outstanding utility arrears transferred to your tax account must be paid in full
- payments can only be made through automatic withdrawal from your bank account
- credit cards, cheques and EFTS are not accepted as part of this program
- an agreement must be signed prior to enrollment
HOW TO ENROLL:
- Submit a signed Tax Installment Pre-Authorized Payment Plan Agreement including a void cheque or your financial institution’s pre-authorization form
- Dropped off at Town of Fox Creek Administration Office
- Emailed to ru@foxcreek.ca

HOW IT WORKS:
- Payments are withdrawn from you bank account on the 15th of each month so long as you are enrolled in the program
- Payments are automatically adjusted in January and June
- Current year’s payments are outlined on your annual Tax Notice
- Payment will continue to be withdrawn so long as an active agreement is in place, no need to re-enroll annually
